Healing Alternatives for Beginners by Nurse Practitioner Kay Henrion.
One of the most important ideas of the New Age is that you should take responsibility for your actions. This includes being responsible for your heath. But since you are probably not an M.D., this may seem difficult.
Luckily, there are other methods of achieving optimum health which you can use today! And the best way to begin to learn about them is by reading Healing Alternatives for Beginners by Nurse Practitioner Kay Henrion.
The methods described here are based on modern research and study of ancient techniques. Some go back over 11,000 years! For example, you'll learn about visualization and how it has been studied by the National Institutes of Health in Washington, D.C. You'll also discover how to practice this simple but powerful technique and use it to heal.
Another ancient technique outlined in this book is meditation. You'll not only learn how to meditate, but also how you can use meditation for healing a wide variety of ailments and achieving complete health.
You'll also learn how to heal with color. You'll even learn what colors work for what purposes. Do you need to reduce pain and discomfort? Try some blue light. There are more examples, too.
One of the major causes of disease is stress. Here you'll learn what causes it, how to recognize it, and how to beat it. Of course, you'll also learn about how foods and herbs can improve your health, and the value of physical touch in getting and staying healthy.
Now is the time for you to take responsibility for every aspect in your life, including your health. Healing Alternatives for Beginners is where you should start!

The Twelve Healers Bach Flower DVD from Healing Herbs has 12 short films of approximately 3 minutes each, which illustrate the plants used and describe the emotional states which inform the action of each remedy. You will hear the voices of Nickie Murray and Julian Barnard in conversation - recordings made in 1986 when Nickie was still at the Bach Centre. More recent accounts of the plants' form and function create a dialogue spanning the 20 years since then. Each film gives you the feeling of the remedy. They may be used for diagnosis, for teaching purposes, to deepen understanding of the 'twelve primary types of personality' as Bach described them, and to show botanical details of each species used.
